Anyone who needs access to 12volt power as a substitute for mains power, for example- while out camping, fishing, caravaning etc
No. Adapt-A-Camp is designed as a power hub. It is not a power supply. Adapt-A-Camp connects to a power supply to provide convenient power outlets and other functions.
A 12v power source. This can be an auxiliary battery in a vehicle, a stand-alone battery, or the vehicles main battery (if precautions are taken)Solar panels can also be added to the system to keep the battery condition up.
Current production Adapt-A-Camps are 2.4 amps each. Some other USB outlets are 2.1amps or even as little as 1 amp! The higher the amps, the less charging time required.
Adapt-A-Camp and supporting products are made by hand, by JAElec, a small family business. Not by a machine in a factory. I am a qualified Auto Electrician and pride myself on my workmanship and honesty. Everything that goes out of my shop is done to my standard, not to a price. I go to extra efforts such as soldering many connections and sealing components where it is common place in the industry or aftermarket not to-this takes time. I also choose the components that go into our products for their quality. I would rather lose a customer to a cheaper job/product than send him away with an inferior job/product and risk my reputation. Remember this-“Good work isn’t cheap, cheap work isn’t good”
No. All efforts have been made to keep water out of the case, but no electrical device of this nature can be waterproof. If it happens to rain on you while setting up or packing up camp, your Adapt-A-Camp should be fine as long as the covers are in place. Once the rubber covers are opened, water can enter any of the outlets, so Adapt-A-Camp should be placed under shelter while in use. Always pack away your Adapt-A-Camp and accessories when completely dry.
Yes, the on board electronics are multi-volt compatible.
